The headquarters, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, has released investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo, after he was arrested by troops during a raid on an illegal bunkering site.
This was revealed in a post made by Foundation for Investigative Journalism on X.
The post reads partly, “We can confirm that our founder @fisayosoyombo has now been released by @HQNigerianArmy, following the intense media campaign you all mounted.”
Acting Deputy Director of 6 Division Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, earlier addressed allegations circulating on social media that the Nigerian Army detained an investigative journalist in Port Harcourt.
