The National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina Engr. Timothy Niyi Adebayo (fnse) on behalf of the Executive Council, Royal fathers, Council of Elders, the Women wing, the Youth Assembly, our National Student body, Igbomina sons and daughters home and abroad, hereby convey our joy and appreciation to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kwara State on the appointment of our son as the Chancellor Kwara State University.(KWASU).
This appointment will remain a bench mark of excellence in the overall interest of the University and the State in many respects.
Dr.J .B.O Adewumi is a world class Educationist and a guru in the Education Industry. He is the founder and Proprietor of the prestigious Thomas Adewumi College Oko in the heart of Igbomina land, Kwara State.
This citadel of learning houses the beginning classes, Secondary classes and the tertiary curriculum programmes.
Students all over the world graduate yearly from this institution uninterrupted.
Consequently, his appointment is not only well deserved but one of a square peg in a square hole.
As an accomplished Igbomina community Czar and human resources developer his appointment will go along way to douse the likes of the agitation that often greets front row appointments for the same UNIVERSITY in the recent time.
This will further pull down the accusing fingers of individuals who hitherto have been nursing sectional bias against the Government of Kwara state in many areas.
The President also assured His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kwara State Mall. AbdulRahman AddulRazaq of our alloyed support in his effort at making transparency a policy of Government in his bid to develop Kwara state.
He further assured His Excellency the rear confidence repose on Dr. J.B.O Adewumi will be justified through innovation and the same zeal that orbited Thomas Adewumi College in the first row of excellences in the Education sector to promote Research and learning he added.
