Life is a round hole, and we humans are the pegs, it is either we surround the hole, or get pushed over. Indeed, overtime, not all pegs are lucky enough to surround the round hole of life. Still, we are all humans, equal before the Creator.
Ever since I came into our prestigious institution of learning, I have immersed myself to the glory and pains of the common Students. I started as an ordinary student seeking to be screened, then, soon enough, was lucky to be elected the class representative of my program *(Arabic Education).* Thus, the beginning of my years of responsibility on campus.
This impromptu role of leadership I have found myself on campus over the years helped to shape my understanding of what we deserve in comparison to what we actually are getting as Students of University of Abuja.
For so long, many a candidates have presented themselves as Messiahs and made false promises to us before election, and when they get there, we continue to find ourselves in status quo. And those who weren’t given a chance to get there, are bound to turn their backs on us in totality, just as the winners do. Only a very few number of Student Leaders have remained supportive after SUG elections whether they win or not. My salutations goes to such great minds!
Beloved colleagues, our UNIABUJA has everything it takes to compete with the likes of ABU Zaria, UNN Nnsuka, among several others if only we can be more selfless than we currently are.
It is this spirit of selflessness that has endeared me to be beaqueted position of leading our beleaguered social media Students Union to it’s rightful position of proactiveness and responsibility.
I cannot achieve this all alone. I need you to be used by God Almighty in actualizing this great aspiration for the sake of service to everyone on campus. Hence, on this day, I officially present myself to you all, devoid of all forms of sentiments, and seek for your support in the coming elections. This, no matter the outcome of the election, I shall always remain grateful of. Thanks and God bless you all!
